I like how you lumped MP's in with SF and Rangers hahaha...
ANY arrest does not bar you from a security clearance. A DUI though, does require a moral waiver, which does bar you from enlistment as an MP or getting an opt. 40 (not sure about 18X off the top of my head). Now, this does not prevent you from competing for a slot for Ranger in AIT or at Airborne school, so it is still possible to go, you just won't have the guarantee in your contract.

Since you will require a moral waiver, you really have next to no room to negotiate or hold out on them. If all you can get is 11x, then take it and volunteer in OSUT. The Ranger liason does a brief when you are at reception and hands his card out to everyone.
