Introduction: Alex

Post by ajg07 »

Hello Rangers,

My name is Alex and I am currently a student at Cayuga Community College in Auburn, New York. I recently enlisted with an 11x contract with an Option 40. I'm am 17 years old and my ship date is Feb. 28, 2012. I plan on finishing a semester of college before I leave so I have some college credits and I'll continue my schooling online. When I'm not at school or working I am training either on my own or with my recruiter whom was also a Ranger. My reason for joining this site was for me to be able to research and study up on everything I possibly can before I ship out. I was a little behind on my enlistment but I have the motivation to be fully prepared before I leave. Thank you ahead of time, Rangers, for allowing me to be a part of your site.

Well, you certainly appear to have done the right things to earn a place in the 75th Ranger Regiment. Please self administer a PT test and post your results on this thread. Complete this task not later than midnight, Sunday, 11 September, 2011. Never, never quit!

Ranger Jim, I'm sorry if I did not make myself clear but I leave for basic on February 28, 2012. I do not yet have my PT test results to post.

Do as many push-ups as you can in two minutes. Do as many situps as you can in two minutes. Time yourself while running two miles. Post the results on this thread. Is that clear enough?

If the Goon is your recruiter, you should have already done at least one PT test by now.

Ranger Jim, I did do one but my results were miserably embarrassing. I just spoke with him on the phone and I'm going to his house tonight for another PT test at about 2000. My results will be posted ASAP.

I gave you that task to establish a baseline to measure your improvement. I see the Goon is a step ahead of me. You, young man, are fortunate to have located a dedicated recruiter. Never, never quit!

Thank you both Ranger Jim and Ranger Zonk 1/75. I know that with the help I'll recieve from Ranger goon175 and my father, who is a retired Ranger, I will be able to succeed.

Young Alex has a long ways to go, but has made some drastic improvements in the past week or so. To his credit, he is also helping me spearhead the effort to collect food for the emergency going on down in K.Ingrahams AO. We'll make a Ranger out of him yet....

Alex is helping the local Boy Scout troop guard the Flag's that have been set up for the 9/11 memorial over the weekend, so I told him I would post his results for him on here:

Push Ups- 27, and with questionable form
Sit Ups- 38
2 Mile Run- 14:15, a 2:10 improvement over his last test
Pull Ups- 2
