Failed my colorvision test, blown chances to be Ranger?
Hi my name is Paul and I am shipping out Sept. 15th, to Ft. Benning. When I went to MEPs I failed my color vision test so I was not able to get an airborn/ranger contract. I can see color fine so I was retested by a civilian and I passed the color vision test. My MOS is 31c and I was wondering if there is any way to get around this and go on to airborn and RIP, after my AIT? If this isn't possible it's not going to change my opinion about enlisting, I'm just proud to have my chance at becoming a soldier, but while Im in I want to make the most of it and do my best at everything. Everytime I ask my recruiter about this he seems to give me a different answer, I have looked on your website and others and I can't seem to find the answer.
I really appreciate any help and advice you can give me. Thankyou for taking the time to read this, and if you have already answered a similiar question then I apologize for wasting your time. Also if anybody has experience as a 31c than I would appreciate your input.

There are 31Cs in the regiment, at least there used to be, I had several good friends who were 31Cs and 31Us. I doubt they have phased out RTOs but I left in 2000 so i am not current on the MTOE.ImportsRsloths wrote:I don't think the ranger regiment even accepts 31c... Could be wrong though.
Sorry but I have no answer for the color test.

color vision test
I showed my recruiter the results from the other vision test and he said ok I'll take care of it. So I guess I'll just have to wait and see, I'm determined to make it to the Regiment though, so the way I see it, this just means that I will have to work harder than everybody else and prove myself since I don't have Airborn/Ranger in my contract. Thanks for the advice Ranger Bell.
