welcome DevilDog.
As prior service, you'll have a helluva time getting into the regular army. It can be done, but if you want to go anytime soon, consider an SF or LRS outfit in the National Guard.

Thanks for the advice, Ranger K.Ingraham. I am actually definately going to sign up for the National Guard here in MO, we have an Infantry unit here, and the unit sends all their Squad Leaders and up to Ranger school (or so I was told). My thinking was get in, kick ass, and move forward from that point. To be honest, I have no idea about the feasibility of getting to where I really want to be (RANGER Bn!!!). Im thinking that in MO, we don't have a LRS here, the Div HQ is in Indiana or Illinois I think, we have a Bn and the companies spread all over the state....I work in a warehouse now, as a supervisor, and Im really good at it, so my thinking is pick a supply MOS (usually NO ONE wants those jobs, and Im not after any glamour) for this Infantry unit here, kick ass for a year or so, and see if I can slide onto active duty and somehow get a Ranger contract. Im 37 years old, Rangers. Im in great shape, I smoke myself daily, haha, but Im pretty sure I wouldn't be very well accepted into a line platoon with a bunch of asskicking firebreathing Ranger's. Im good at what I do, I want to serve in the 75th Ranger Regiment, and would LOVE to support those firebreathers. Sorry so long winded, and appreciate any thoughts!!

Thanks for the welcome to the website Rangers!!
