May have found a fraud. (Wanna-be Ranger)

Post by UntamedAn1mal »

Was talking to a buddy, he was talking to me about his interests in the military, specifically the Rangers.

He brought up about six months ago a guymet him at the mall randomly, they knew each other. He saw him with a Black Beret and a Ranger Shirt. He asked if he was a Ranger, and he said yeah.

Then he had shown me one of his Facebook pictures, and it said he is stationed at Fort Benning. But in one picture it shows his rank and he is a Private. In another picture, it shows his arm. On the arm it shows the American Flag, but no Ranger Scroll under it. Is there any way I can contact an Army database to find his name in the 75th?

Thanks, I just want to figure out if he is or isn't an actual Ranger.

Sure, go to http://www.armydatabase.com/namesofeveryoneinthe75th" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

What is a Ranger shirt?

No Scroll under the flag only means no deployment while in Regiment

Ranger Elmo,

A shirt that is like this, http://www.armygearonline.com/store/gra ... _thumb.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I don't have the pictures anymore, but when I saw his Facebook he was listed as a Chaplain Assistant at Fort Benning from Nov. 2010 to Jun. 2013...

He had told the person who I was talking to that he was a Ranger, when he saw him. My buddy didn't know anything about the military at the time, but the guy was wearing a Black Beret and was wearing a shirt *As listed above*. And my buddy asked if he was a Ranger and he said yeah.

That is because there is no such thing as an Army Data base with everyone who has ever served in the 75th Ranger Regiment. At least not available to the public.

Awesome that you want to bust a poser, but how about you work on your Physical Training, and knowledge from this site, and leave the "Poser Busting" to the professionals.

Admirable, and appreciated that you brought it here. If you have a name of the individual then post on here and let us do our work.

Have a great day.

Flag goes on the right arm, unit patch on left... So he didn't have a combat patch?
