Scott's Intro

Post by MarineRanger »

Hi everyone,

Like the name suggests, I'm a Marine who was lucky enough to get a tab.

I was a young E-4 grunt in an infantry battalion. serving in S.T.A. 2/9 3rd mar div. I had been in about 2 1/2 years when the Marine Corps came to me, and asked me if I'd like to be a Ranger. I graduated from Ranger school on 6/19/80.

Recently an old marine buddy found me ... after 30 years. It brought up memories of my Ranger experience which led me here.

Great board! Its nice to see so many patriots in one place.

Scott

Thank all of you for serving. And a big thanks to your families too.

MarineRanger, you do not have to preface my name with "Ranger" but it is customary to call others by their full names as in CharlieRanger1FFV.

The way I became a Ranger and have earned the small amount of success I have had in life has been mostly due to one quality - determination. Lefty.
