Benning Bound

Post by JustErin »

Hi all! Happy Thanksgiving!

After a couple years of applying for GS jobs.. I'm now the lucky recipient of 2 tentative job offers! A GS-5 at APG, MD and one for a GS-9 at Fort Benning. I couldn't be more excited about it. It's an Editor position with the MCoE Magazine. Of course it's still tentative pending background check and stuff, but I'm trying to do some area recon.

Any information about the area would be helpful...

Thanks!
I just saw something cool in my head...

Congrats on the job and the promotion Erin. Guess we know who's gonna hold the next ArmyRanger.com BBQ at Reunion!!!! No worries I'll be there to help! Anything to get me out of the cornfields here in Indiana.

That's really great news Erin! I don't know the area except from my graduation visits, so I'm useless on that issue.

Good to hear from you, and Warriorwife!! Now, if only the other "lost" sisters and brothers find their way back ... !!!

Well, I made it to Benning and am settled into my new apartment and job. Visits from Mom and Dad are complete... And, I've already been honored to entertain the Heathens briefly. :) Still learning my way around town, but I've managed to find the shopping.

It's been a whirlwind of activity and I'll be headed to Ft. Knox at some point for some training on how to be the Deputy Editor of Armor Magazine. Any advice and information from you Tanker Rangers will be greatly appreciated.
