WTF

Post by McD »

Bend over to pick up my pistol of a table at the range last night and wham!!!!! Something went in my lower back... holly shit I could barely straighten back up. Way down low and I have never had any problems with my back.

Half a bottle of Jim Beam and a couple pain pills made it feel better last night but it is killing me this morning. Fucking walking around like I got a corn cob shoved up my ass.

How do you know/tell if it is a muscular problem (pull) or the back (disc's and such) its self?

Damn I hate getting old!

Sorry to welcome you to the club.

I'd go to a doc for an MRI, and a chiro. You might also want to get a massage to get the muscles loosened up, or it could start all sorts of issues.

Around 2000 I bent down to pick up a piece of cheese that fell on the floor and the same thing happened. It took awhile for my back to get back to normal. It happened a second time about 4 years later. On a non-related pain I discovered I had a bone spur in my ankle. I got it from a twisted ankle in a parachute jump in 1998. Over the years I had favored the ankle, without even knowing I had done so. So the ankle created new bone to compensate. So now I am 1/4 inch taller on leg than the other. The doctor told me that this is why my back went out those two times. Just a 1/4 inch off did it. Now I wear a 1/4 inch heel lift in one boot and I'm good to go.

Stick with the Jim Beam until the pain goes away, but in the mean time see an MD.

I have two suggestions and I couldn't figure out which might be best so.............See a doctor or make mad, passionate love to your wife until you forget about the pain.

Hang from something and s-t-r-e-t-c-h, also do it standing up... Or, hang upsidedown - it'll have the same effect...

But, still go see a Doc-tor.

Never fuck around with back pain.

If you never had a problem, it would be hard for you tell the difference between a disc problem and a muscle problem.

Go to the doc ASAP.

You never think that it's as bad as it is until it happens to you.
