Has anyone had any experience with ATN sights? I am getting ready to purchase a reflexive sight and I am down to the;
EoTech XPS3
Or the ATN Ultra Sight
I have always disliked how much the Eo Techs block your line of sight. The ATN type of sight has better lines and is easier to see as I like placing it up on the hand rail, almost to the front sight post.
I would appreciated and help.

Re: Reflexive sights
No real experience with the ATN sight, but some things to consider- from the looks of it, the aiming point on the ATN is going to be visible from the sides in low light conditions since it appears to be projected onto the glass vs. appearing inside the glass, so "they" can possibly pick you out as well, and the actual optic portion doesn't look to be to sturdy either. The EO tech on the other hand, I have had some experience with, and IMO, it's one of the best reflex sights out there. Everything from the reticle to the hood over the glass portion, to the reticle "moving" if the glass gets damaged. Not to mention instead of just a red dot, it has a dot with a ring around it, and the ring has tick marks so that you can get your hold offs for various ranges. For either sight, putting it far forward should be fine as long as your upper rail is anchored and not loose. And if there is any sight blockage, shoot with both eyes open

Re: Reflexive sights
I have seen pictures of EoTechs that had taken rounds and still worked. I would go with an EoTech over the ATN any day.

Re: Reflexive sights
The ATN is a cheapie and I doubt it would survive a strong impact. It's just not the same quality as a eo tech, aimpoint, acog, etc. I have one on my sig 556.
EO tech's are g2g and the model you displayed above is supposed to be the shiznit.
There is a reason Atn's are $150 and eo tech's 400+.
My two pesos.

Re: Reflexive sights
Not knowing ATN products personally, the design looks...."flawed". EOTech is more streamlined, and a lot less like to snag & break. That ATN thing looks like it would probably hang & break pretty easily.

Re: Reflexive sights
GSXRanger put me on to EOTechs when we first got over here and I've loved it ever since. I actually just picked up a BARELY used one for $200 off a guy that is done at the end of the tour.
Re: Reflexive sights
I think you should go with an EO Tech, or Aimpoint, or ACOG sight. I reviewed an ATN sight that someone from my agency wanted to mount on his AR-15. I found it to be a little on the flimsy side. Not to Milspec standards either. We denied the usage on service weapons. EO Tech makes a reasonably priced unit that operates on 2 AA batteries.
