Training holiday/RIP graduation

Post by Chief »

Rangers,

According to ATRRS, my sons RIP class is scheduled to graduate on July 3rd. I know the Army use to take an extra day off over a holiday weekend. I was wondering if anyone knows if this RIP class may graduate on July 2nd vice the 3rd.

I have had the privilege of knowing several of the Chief of the Boat from the USS Nebraska. I have been on the boat three times (even got to drive it once) and have always been extremely impressed with the entire crew. We host 6 to 9 members of the crew every June out here in central Nebraska.

Thanks psouper for the confirmation. My son had thought it was the 2nd, but he wasn't sure. Hope to see you at graduation next week.

After Cole Range our sons' class was down to 80 or so. I haven't heard from my son this week so he's still hanging in there.

Kings Bay SubBase was my last duty station before retiring. I ran the weather detachment. Those Trident sailors are a unique bunch. Anyone that goes to sea sleeping and working next to a nuclear missile has my respect.

I was at Kings Bay all three times. Have not been on the boat since it moved out west. Last time was the 10th anniversary of the commissioning on the USS Nebraska.

Sorry to hijack the thread.
