Urgent Help Needed!

Post by Vik »

Please help Rangers.

My son has completed OSUT, Javelin School and is completing Airborne this week. During OSUT he lost his Airborne and RIP contracts because of stress fractures in both legs (the drill sergeants MADE him go to sick call). He has healed and obviously got his Airborne contract back. He has been trying to get back into RIP while in Airborne without any success. He asked me to post here to see if there is anything else he can do. He is in jump week so there is little time left. Gents, he has worked hard. He pushed through the fractures and never dropped out from a run or ruck march. He did an 8 mile run in 56 minutes with the stress fractures...he never quits!

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Please PM or e-mail me at mauler1@rocketmail.com

BTW, he loved his first two jumps yesterday. He was 3rd and 2nd out.

anything is possible, tell him to go to the Ranger liaison and annoy the shit out of the guy there, tell him to say he isn't leaving without a RIP contract.

Thanks for the e-mails and support.

He did not get his shot at RIP...for now. He is off to the 82nd Airborne, 4BCT. He said he plans to get some experience and a deployment under his belt and he will apply for RIP/ROP after that.

He has a great attitude, he'll be a great soldier in the 82nd.

Rangers:

Things have a funny way of working out. While my son did not attend RIP as originally planned things have worked out well for him at Ft Bragg. They have worked the crap out of him and he has stepped up at every opportunity. He was getting a bit frustrated but never complains and runs circles around those in his unit. He was surprised when he was pulled aside and told he is to attend PRC and Ranger School. He then understood what had been happening. He is very stoked and hopes to earn that coveted tab.

Thanks,
Vik
