Take two grains of salt and drive on to your Ranger Objective!

Remember that old and treachery will always overcome youth and skill...

In 1973, my Florida Ranger Buddy, CPT Robert L. Howard, was well into his forties when he went through the Ranger Course; I was a ninteen year old Private E-2 and The Course damn near killed me.

Are you already Airborne qual'ed, or are you going into this as a Leg? I think it's great that you included that as one of your goals. Best of luck to you, and please keep us up to date on your progress. I look forward to changing your title to Ranger in the future.

I would like to also now welcome you to the board. After kicking you in the nuts a few times it seems only fucking polite.

Stop posting and read. You can give advice on military tactics and techniques anywhere on the internet...but here. Especially since you have announced your pending arrival as a Ranger student in January. That suspends your status as a senior NCO for the moment.

So far from your posts :

1. You have to be a first-time GO on Land Nav

2. You have to nail WARNO/OPRD

3. You better be able to play the fucking bag-pipes

Please take this gentle reminder as literal fucking prophecy.

MSG_T wrote:Roger. I want to tell ALL RANGERS involved, I have meant no intent to insult or to upset any of you. Your right Im not tabbed. Im not perfect.
I offered my advice... OUT OF LINE...I thought it was a open discussion type, and quickly realized it wasnt. My fault. I came here to learn more, and get more insight, prior to me doing what to me will be the greatest feat I may have ever accomplished in my 22 years in the Army.
I am saying this, not to kiss anyones arse, but to publicly announced I was out of line by entering YOUR arena and offering my unproven morsels of advice, and I F*%$# up. Even I know when to STFU.
All you did was hit the road and turn around. Your words.

Stick around. We've been known to accidentally get a couple people through Ranger School here.
