Introduction

Post by Atilla83 »

Gentlemen,

First I would like to humbly apologize to KM Driver for not following correct procedure and for my response which in retrospect seems a bit more surly than I thought it did when I wrote it.

Now for my particulars. I joined the Marine Corps in March of 2002. I earned the MOS of 0311 and 0313 and was assigned to 1st Light Armored Recon Bn in Oct of 2002. I deployed along with the BN to Kuwait in Jan. of 2003 aboard the USS Boxer. Our BN took part in the invasion as the lead element for 1st MARDIV RCT 5. I returned to CONUS in June. In May of 2004 i deployed along with 2nd Platoon C CO 1st LAR as an attached platoon to the 11th MEU (SOC) and BN 1/4 back to Iraq. We returned to CONUS in Feb 2005. I separated from the Marine Corps in March of 2006 as a Sergeant. I am now entering into my Junior year at the Universityof Texas at Austin where I am majoring in Middle Eastern Studies and Arabic Language and Lit. I am the President of the UT Student Veteran's Association so if any Ranger's are separating soon and coming our way feel free to contact me and we will get you dialed into the University.

Again I apologize for my earlier breach of edicate.

Sincerely,
Steve

A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve --
is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'
