'Here's my strategy on the Cold War: We win, they lose.'

'The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.'

'The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so.'

'Of the four wars in my lifetime, none came about because the U.S. Was too strong.'

'I have wondered at times about what the Ten Commandments would have looked like if Moses had run them through the U.S. Congress.'

'The taxpayer: That's someone who works for the federal government but doesn't have to take the civil service examination.'

'Government is like a baby: An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other.'

'The nearest thing to eternal life we will ever see on this earth is a government program.'

'It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.'

'Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.'

'Politics is not a bad profession. If you succeed, there are many rewards; if you disgrace yourself, you can always write a book.'

'No arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is as formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women.'

I would love to see how he would have dealt with things since 9-11.

I imagine it would involve turning glass in to sand.

But then if he had been President, I don't think it would have happened in the first place.

Pre-emptive strikes was what Ronny was about.

Cuban commies building an airfield on a Carribbean Island? Take the island.

Nicaraguan commies want to spread their Marxism by force, stop them in the border countries.

Islamic terrorists kill a soldier in a Berlin disco? Blow up the palace of Ghadafi and kill his daughter in the process (not a target, but that stopped Ghadafi for quite some time).

Iran is a threat to Iraqi oil rigs? Blow anything that looks like an armed Iranian boat out of the water.

Iran a threat to Kuwaiti tankers? Put an American flag on them and call them United States. Dare Iranians to do something.

Soviet Union a threat to Europe? Put nuclear missiles in Germany

Soviet Union a threat to Afghanistan? Send in Stinger missiles to give Afghans air superiority

Egypt releases a terrorist? Intercept the terrorist on the airliner and escort it to friendly country (though the wimp country let the terrorist go).

Islamic militiamen shell Marines in Beirut? Recommission the battleships, and send volkswagon-sized shells into the hillsides.

Rangers turn out to be pretty effective? Create another Ranger Battalion.

Special Forces also turns out to be pretty effective? Create 4 new Groups.

The 1980s. A great decade.

Wasn't Depeche Mode created then?

Anyway we can clone him and make him President for the next 100 years.

Cap's bio. In addition, He was awarded the Silver Star while serving as a Captain (Battalion S-2) in New Guinea. A tough guy! Worth reading the Weinberger Doctrine.

I am going to vote for Ronald Reagan for president. It will be a write in...And yes, I know he's dead...but I would rather have him dead as president than anything that might get elected in November.

We can prop up his casket, and just have someone play the appropriate speech, at the appropriate time, and the entire fookin' world will be scared to death of us (as they should be--those crazy Americans...their president is a corpse!!!!!).

And I agree with the 2 previous posts...Uncle Ron would have turned the sand to glass long ago...and none of it would have ever had to happen if he was in charge. They wouldn't have had the balls to go up against him.

We need another Ron Reagan to run for president...soon...
