SK DEROS->RS/TDY?

Post by Kairos_180 »

Has anyone here heard of someone actually securing a slot in Ranger school from Korea?

I was interested in AIPing for 2 years to get sent from here, but now here my best bet is to get it TDY en route to my next assignment.

Dude, make up your mind, is it Korea or Eglin?

Sort your self out and offer us a sitrep on you and explanation if you expect any help.

You signed on to this site in 2005 and have never been verified for anything you have allegedly done in the military.

what gives "Sally"?

Back in December 2005, you were in Benning and that's the last we have heard from you. A number of DEPs who entered basic with you have gone on to prosper as members of the 75th Ranger Regiment, but you fell off the earth. Please tell us what has transpired.

My apologies~

My 18X route ended when I was a 24 day non-select (07-08 #391). I waited for the debriefing but after my file could not be found I was encouraged to try again.

After that I went to Lewis and deployed to Iraq. I redeployed on assignment for Korea and have been at Casey since.

I will be coming up on orders just around my reenlistment window and recently I have been trying to learn about all of my options.

I had orders for ranger school already and my Battalion Commander promised to sign TDY and return orders for AIPing but then backed out of it and made me an XO...I retaliated by canceling my AIP (dealing with S1 shops is a bitch) and got ranger school en route instead.

So that's what I would do if I were you, just call Branch for RS TDY Enroute. For the love of god don't AIP for it. Maybe it's just my experiences but an O-5 shook my hand and then outright denied my ass to go to RS in March...
Around here we capitalize Ranger. By the way, I suspect you were dealing with an LTC rather than an O-5.
