My brother is leaving for Afghanistan in a few short weeks. Since he is home on leave for a couple of days I want to throw him a party. I spoke with him earlier today and his spirits where down due to a Norwegian soldier being killed yesterday by an IED. He said that he didn't want this party, should I go forward with my intentions?
Rangers, Veterans and relatives of soldiers; I seek your help in cheering this soldier/brother up.

I said the same thing when I came home on leave getting ready to go some time ago... Back when I was even younger.
My parents invited family over and did it anyway. It was good to see a lot of my family again. Once I was there I got into it some and wasn't such a little bitch about it. So I'd so go for it. I know I appreciated seeing everyone before I left even though at time family can fuck off. Never immediately family... you get the idea.

Do it.
After he's deployed, he'll be glad you did, even if he doesnt appreciate it right then.
PS: and you didnt invite US??
oh right, you want a good time...
