Hi, My name is Mike :::Last Name removed::: and I served with Company F, 50th Infantry (LRRP) in 1968. I attended and graduated the MACV Recondo School and the I was sent TDY to Det. A361, 3rd Mobile Strike Force, 5th SF, to be a recon patrol leader. When my time was up, I returned to the company only to discover that it was now Company F, 75th Rangers.
I DEROSed to Fort Ord, where I was an SF Recruiter and then attended the MATA Senior NCO Course at Fort Bragg. I was assigned as an Advisor to the Biet Dong Quan (BDQ- Vietnamese Rangers) and from there I was assigned to HQ USTASCOMEUR as the Ops Sergeant for the DCSOPS Contingency & War Plans Branch. I was also a member of SOTFE.
In 1972, I discharged and became a police officer. 22 years later, I retired as Police Chief.
