This is to confirm that you've created the Custom League named RANGER CHALLENGE and the team called SILVER AND BLACK in that league.

To allow other managers to join your league, send them the League ID# and Password. In your case, the ID# is 164350 and the Password is RANGER.

You have chosen for your league to participate in an offline draft. Until you submit the results from this draft, you (and only you) can change the type of draft by using the Change Draft Type option found among your Commissioner Tools, which can be reached from your League Overview page.

Your league can hold its draft whenever you choose, but the results won't be available online until you enter them using the Submit Draft Results option you'll find among your Commissioner Tools (all draft results must be submitted by Friday, Oct 12, 2007).

All league members can still get involved in league action by going to the Fantasy Football home page and clicking on their league or team name.

Thanks for joining. Good luck.

Draft Type: Offline Draft

I changed it and got it right this time. The draft will be LIVE and start offically at 12:00 PST P.M. 14 JUL 07. You will have approximately 3 minutes per pick in each round to pick a player to fill up your total roster.

So far we have a total of 4 teams they are as follows:

Suck My Ditka

SNOT

Bench Warmers

Silver and Black (as the commish I will pick last in each round)

I can't believe we don't have more so-called NFL experts/fans who don't want to conpete against each other.

We've got 11 more slots. The competition doesn't begin until the 1st week of the regular season. There will be a playoff during weeks 15 and 16.

In the event that you are unable or forget to participate in the live draft your team will consist of the available players that you ranked according to position and availability. Once you have created a team, you can pre-arrange each player in terms of where you think they should be in the draft from the highest ranking to lowest according to your choosing.

Example: Highest rated player:

1. Peyton Manning QB
2. Tom Brady QB
3. LaDainian Tomlinson RB
4. Caron Palmer QB
5. Drew Brees QB
6. Larry Johnson RB

etc.

Bugsy, thanks for putting this together. I love me some fantasy football!

Just a couple of thoughts. If we give each person 3 minutes per pick, that is potentially 42 minutes per round . 42 minutes per round x 22 positions to draft for = approximately 15 hours...ouch. I will admit I'm a member of the NLC, but that's pushing it :D

I'm pretty sure that if people set their draft boards ahead of time and let it run on auto, as you suggested, it still takes the full 3 minutes for the pick to be made. I would humbly suggest dialing it down to 1 minute a pick. I know that's quick, but most people will probably go off a printed page anyway, and that keeps things interesting even when you're not picking.

I also think you're falling on your sword needlessly by picking last.
Commish doesn't = take it in the ass :D Let's set a deadline for people to join, and once that's locked in, Yahoo can randomly set the draft order. So it will be randomly picked for the first round, and go in an S shape after that.

There are some decent freee FF sites out there. I'll do some research and post the links in this thread in the next few days so guys can prepare.

Just my .02 and worth what ya paid for it

I'm travelling that day, otherwise I'd be in.

Though I prefer the computer draft, homey has a life and live drafts take way to long.

If I can preprogram my picks, I'm in.

I believe you can set your preferred picks and not participate in the live draft and you will get your picks, if they are still available. Im not 100% sure though.

Invictus your suggestion has been noted and I will make the adjustment. If for some reason we don't have 14 participants by Saturday I will extend the deadline for joining the league and post the change of date.
