I served as a MARINE from 1981 to 1991 both as an enlisted infantryman and as an infantry officer. During the Gulf War I served as the token infantry officer attached to an artillery unit. My duties included patrolling,route reconaissance, and handling POW's. I view today's military from three different viewpoints: as a MARINE, A veteran, and as a taxpayer. I admire all people that serve for the right reasons!
