My eyesight is correctable with lenses, but it's actually one diopter /beyond/ what the Army allows, if I recall correctly. It's been a while.

This sounds like the kind of issue that would have shown up in a MEPS physical and kept you out of BT entirely, not something that would have become apparent through your inability to hit a 150m target.

Something smells funny in here.
