new arrival

Post by frontandcenter »

Good evening Rangers/other service men/women., it is an honor to become a member on this site. I am 18 years old and enlisted into the Army under an option 40 contract. I leave for basic on July 12 and am looking forward to the incredible challenge that awaits me. I do not intend to post very much seeing as how just about anything I need to know can be found by searching, but I appreciate you all for making the information available.

You have only one opportunity to make a favorable initial impression, and you failed. I noted several typographical errors in your introduction. One of the skills that sets a successful Ranger apart from his peers is his attention to detail. You have a minimum time before you ship, and you have been admonished to read the FAQs, stickies, and selected threads. Memorize the Ranger Creed. Read a lot and fight the urge to hit the send button. Remember that the search button is your friend -- I'm not.
