3Fifty
I'm not quite sure how to word this so I will be short and to the point. I'm still in shock about the entire situation and extremely disappointed.
After processing into Aco on Friday we were released for the weekend, returning for formation Monday morning at 0600. Saturday morning at 0700 3Fifty took off to the airport, left his military gear and took everything civilian.
I got a hold of him Saturday night, he avoided me on the phone. Long story short....he never came back. At 0800 this morning after being questioned by NCO's he was declared AWOL.
His phone has been "disconnected" and no one can get a hold of him. I know everyone had high expectations and I'm still not sure what to make of what happened. I figured I owed it to everyone here who has an avid interest in our progress to post a SITREP on the current situation.
Staying hard, crushing the weak.

Thats what you need to do. Your there, he's not, Oh well!
Drive on and set the standerd.

SDW - Drive on without the POS. There were six of us in my OSUT platoon with Ranger contracts - me and one other guy made it to BN and he was gone within a month. Shit happens.

He didn't have what it takes.
You have a goal so forget him and drive on. Stay focused.

All I can say is I'm fuckin shocked, he worked his ass off and up until last Friday every encounter that he had with other Rangers that I've spoken too indicated that he was squared away and equally motivated. He must have gotten some rotten pussy on VD Drive over the weekend.
As his mentor I hope at some point I get the opportunity to speak to him to figure out what the fuck happened.
As for you SunDevil keep up the good work the closer you get to RIP the more you will find people who quit and at an even faster rate (wait until jump week at Airborne School they really start to drop then).. Don't fuckin quit because its worth the extra effort, worth the extra sacrifice, worth the extra dedication. Unfortunately 3-Fifty will regret his decision for the rest of his life.
Make sure you remain proud of yours.
