Our boy is off to the suck on Monday.
I graded him as ATL for AOO for recon.
He did an awesome job until we tried to move 1k back to the punk bunk............................. LOST is an under statement!
We were 70m from it when the CoC snuck a quick plugger check and they still couldn't find the fucker. 400 meters later I steppeed in and hurt their feelings. I no-go'd him and the SL for costing his men valuable time in the patrol base not to mention 2 extra hrs of aimlessly following their lost asses in the woods!

Looks like G&G has a lot of work ahead of him.

Bubba, you gave him an opportunity that he would not otherwise had. His success or failure is his, and his alone.

On the other hand, on my first day of Ranger School, I got to see "Uncle Bernie" performing. Damn, I was so happy to be in the 4th squad of 5th Platoon -- as far away from "Uncle Bernie" as I could get. Went into name-tag defolade and only emerged when my tab was pinned on.

I was lost. That sucked. When I pulled out the plugger and got under the poncho I realize now that I misread my protractor and went at 220 degrees instead of 240. One goddamn 1/8 inch cost my squad sleep and me my go. Snowball effect. An extra 10 minutes on a knee in the SHP is worth the careful work and double check maybe a 2nd opinion from the RTO, the SL, and a land nav stud would be a good technique. Glad to have learned it in PRC rather than RS.

Ranger Jim,
I won't quit I can promise you that.

There is running joke in our PRC class that Ranger Kilted Heathen would threaten to donkey punch our mothers one of these days. Someone piped in today and said they can imagine getting a call in mountains from his crying mother saying, "Just do what he says Johnny and have them put their rucksacks frame down, cat eyes facing in!"

Yep!

Waite until your eyes are rolled back in your head and try and if you get it right. :D
