I'm a big guy(6'1" 220lbs) and running is not a treat for me. I do it more than most because I know its a weakness of mine. I have just recently found a shoe which has made my life so much easier.
I used to run in New Balance 855's, good shoe, but they really didn't have the shock absorbtion I needed.
My highschool wrestling coach recommend I pick up a pair of Brookes Beast's, he said they were great for big guys, I trusted him, so I did.
They are great, a little heavy, but no more joint pain, no more bruised feet. I swear by them, and will not buy another running shoe.
If you are a big guy with a low arch, I suggest you pick up a pair.
Does anybody have any suggestions about breathing while running? I have trouble with breathing, I run all the time and I still start breathing hard right around a quarter mile, at the end of my runs my mouth is as dry as Hilary Clinton. Any suggestions would be helpful.

The better conditioned you are, the less heavy your breathing will be.

Your breathing sucks because you are running faster than your fitness level wants to allow you. I suggest that you learn about your heart rate and find a training program that you can stick with. You should never run so fast that you are out of breath (unless you are shooting for a PR)Psyop19 wrote:Does anybody have any suggestions about breathing while running? I have been looking for the perfect shoe for 22-years now....I have found that if I buy shoes that FIT MY FEET and are not cheaply made then they'll work fine. I have grown to buying trail running shoes. As I said the best thing to do is make sure they fit.
