My cherry ass

Post by rangercamaro »

Well, I've called upon for a story so here goes.

My first deployment in Battalion to Ft Stewart woodline. I was set up with two senior E-3's to hold my hand. We were practicing our E&E techniques. First started off with a night land nav. Well, the two studs they sent me with were not nav-ers to say the least at that point in their young Bat life. We walked... and walked.. and walked... my pace was tripple what it was suppose to be and then i finally get the cajones up to say something to them. They finally admitted to me they were lost. We tried our radio to make contact but couldn't get out. They came up with an idea to climb a tree to get the dick whip clear for a signal. Well, being the cherry.... up my ass went... Bout fell out of the damn tree and still didn't get out on the radio.
I finally climb/ fall down and they come up with an idea that i knew was going to get a smoking going... They decide to sleep the rest of the night off and restart in the morning. Yes, i was too friggin stupid to realize how much smoke was about to popped off on our a@@es for that one.
We get up early the next day and start off again and finally get ahold of our sqd ldr and they guide us in to their position/ kill zone.
Before i even got a word out i was demonstarting the skills i learned on AO Black on Benning in a tank trench that was flooded. Low crawling never had the same meaning after that. We low crawled, flutter kicked and yes even Koala-fied for at least two hours. The whole time the sqd ldr (SSG Stephen) was changing dips and keepin cadence.

I just wanted to say thanks to one of those Hooah's that is on this server....you know who you are... What a intro to the field.... Gun 2 rules

Welcome to the board 1st Batter. Keep it up and it won't be fair anymore. We'll have 1 1st Batter to every 10 2nd and 3rd Batters. Then all we'll hear is the crying about how we're ganging up on 'em.

Glad ya could make it.
