Combat patch for OEF-P?

Post by Roasting »

I tried to post this in News, Politics, and Policy, but only moderators can post there, so...

Is there any word on the possible change in 670-1 to allow those who particicpate in OEF-P to wear combat patches? Seems strange that combat pay is authorized, but not the patch.

Thanks, Rangers.

P means Philippines.

I asked this question of a buddy of mine who participated in OEF-P with E/160.

He said yes, and that he was given a memorandum by USASOC authorizing it.

He's a good buddy and I believe him.

NOW, I have encountered some people from 1SFG who said no and that my friend is not being accurate.

Just throwing that out there.

I know guys that have been to Djibouti and they have received combat patches and combat pay. OEF is not limited to Afghanistan. It seems to cover every thing but OIF.
