it was almost as good as the precussion from the detionation of the javalins yesterday.
though i think i have you topped as far as insane power. ever heard of the boss hoss? car motor in a motorcycle?
did some looking into them awhile back and found one that had 1200 horsepower (yes that was with nitro) delivered to one wheel. i will attempt to find it again when i return. that is just stupid power. i imagine that if you twist the throtle to hard you might just flop the bike on its side with the tourqe.
I saw an expose on Boss Hoss bikes when I was down in Fl recently on a local TV show called born to ride. They're making 4 combinations of these things- 2 BB 502's-1 bike and 1 trike and 2 SB 350's-1 bike and 1 trike.
Stability on a trike based platform is obvious but surprisingly, on the 2 wheel frames, they appear relatively stable. I don't know if anything will ever compare to Chryslers Tomohawk. Viper engine on a motorcycle based platform? That's insane as well.
Getting back to the dyno, after researching the project car a little deeper, it was LT-1 stroker SB (smallblock, not Silverback :D ) punched to 396 ci. And keep in mind, the 735 HP recorded was to the rear wheels. Factor in the flywheel, trans, driveshaft and differential soaking up the rest and your looking at engine HP somewhere around the 770-800 mark.
Not sure if it was Nitrous'd or not. Probably was on the bottle. Still, not bad for a small block mouse engine.
