Ranger Medic

Post by Joe_328 »

Just a quick intro from myself.
Joined the army Oct. 2004. BCT at Ft. Sill, OK. AIT at Ft. Sam, TX until May 2005. Volunteered for Airborne Schhol. Airborne School June 05. Volunteered for RIP. RIP July 05 - August 05. Signed up for Ranger EFMB. EFMB August 05 - Yesterday (Graduation).
At this point I'm at 75th headquarters as a Pre-SOCM. That class starts early NOV 05.

I only dreamt of being in the Rangers until I logged onto airborneranger.com in April 05 and Ranger Kilted Heathen squared me away (He wasn't nice). He also directed me to this site so here I am.

I am willing to answer any questions to any new DEPs or others about to go into the Rangers, especially medics.

So, you're a Rippie with a medical MOS, or you've passed RIP already and are assigned to HHC, HQ 75th Ranger Regiment?

What's your job there - who do you support?

Welcome to the site Joe.

Everyone...this fella came onto airborneranger.com all fucked up. Not a clue of what was going on or what he needed. He squared himself away, followed instructions, and has graduated RIP. His intro speaks for itself. He did it the hard way and I'm damned proud of this kid.

Good job there Ranger Joe!
Don't think you have it made because you passed RIP; as RIP is to the muscles, so the SO medic will be to your brain. Don't take the academics lightly. Prepare.

RIP in July, huh? That means while the shit was just starting to hit the fan for you at RIP, most of us posting here were a few blocks away, drinking beers, teling lies & lazing about the pool or playing tourist at the Rendevous & Reunion.
Your turn will come.
Welcome into the fold.

I told ya I was proud of this guy. Let me point out that in his intro he said he'd just graduated EFMB. Expert Field Medical Badge. He's a qualified Ranger Medic. This guy just keeps on keeping on.

Amazing fella. He's done it the hard way.

Welcome young Doc!

If Ranger Bell says you're squared away, that's quite an endorsement. 8)
