I've been owned

Post by Poetryisdeath »

Company four mile run, I had myself a harsh Asthma attack and fell out. EPTS'ed and now I'm home.

I'm not really sure what else to say except that I'm sorry to anyone who could've had my slot, I'm sorry for wasting everyone's time invested into helping me, and I'm sorry for wasting tax-payers' money.

The contract I read said that I can re-enlist in 2 years, but I heard that I need to prove my condition is no longer a problem.

Here's one for hoping this condition recedes, and another for hoping 2 years go by fast.

Good luck to everyone who is shipping soon and shipped while I was gone.

I completed 9 weeks of training, so if you need any information about that timespan of training, contact me.

Echo Company rocks the house. Out.

Re-group, lick your wounds and try again later.
Thanks for the honest sit-rep that took balls and I'm certain you did not want to post it.
That's the sort of character we can appreciate.
Re-focus PID, you're young enough to overcome this and bounce back.
Good luck, you gave it your best shot.

BTW, you didn't waste our time. If you had slunk away without a sit-rep then you would have been a waste of time.
We just need to dust you off and get you back in the ball-game.

I just looked over all your posts that are in the realm I can see and not once did I see you mention you had Asthma. Did that just pop up unbeknowst to you? Asthma is a condition you live with and with the proper medication can do a normal job. Smoked after only 4 miles and in OSUT. Hard to believe you could get that far without telling the military about your condition.

I read in one of your posts that you were discussing times regarding your runs & why you were so slow. Didn't you ever go to a doctor to find out what your particular malady was?

I'm not mad, just very curious. Running to be a Ranger would have been much harder than OSUT.

Unfortunately it happens all the time. Some people just come up with shit like this.

I watched a girl in training die at Jackson this past february at the PT field by the movie theater and Macgruders.

She just popped up with it as well from what I was told.

You tried PiD, noone can take that away from you.

Well here we go, my shot at being positive

It's better to have tried and been indentified as cunt, than not to have tried.

Or something like that...I couldn't remember the exact quote.

What Is Asthma?

Asthma is a chronic lung condition. It is characterized by difficulty in breathing.

People with asthma have extra sensitive or hyperresponsive airways. The airways react by narrowing or obstructing when they become irritated. This makes it difficult for the air to move in and out. This narrowing or obstruction can cause one or a combination of the following symptoms:

* wheezing
* coughing
* shortness of breath
* chest tightness

This narrowing or obstruction is caused by:

* Airway inflammation (meaning that the airways in the lungs become red, swollen and narrow)
* Bronchoconstriction (meaning that the muscles that encircle the airways tighten or go into spasm)

Ditto! Drive on with a hard on. Maybe you can't be a Ranger, but there are a ton of things you can accomplish in life that are fascinating and influence the way of this Nation. Do not lose all your motivation now and sink into a hole. With the mindset you have started to develop a while back, you have some of the right tools to take on new challenges.
