18x and Option 40 guys at basic

Post by Nuse05 »

I was just curious if all the guys who go to basic training with 18x or Option 40 are kept in the same platoon? Also if this is so, do you think that these guys are worked a little harder considering they plan on becoming Special Forces Soldiers or Army Rangers?

From my experience, no. My platoon was 3/4 national guard. I'm sure you can find more answers from recent soldiers who have gone through basic though.

won't basic be a joke for someone who is serious about being a Ranger?

will there be time to do extra PT, or will that be overkill?

thanks for the help Rangers

Some companies keep 18x's together, some dont. Same for the option 40 contracts.

Basic training is not a joke. I had to pee really bad the whole time I was there. It sucked. I was always sneak-pissing in formation.
