Got this suggestion from my uncle (USAF Ret.) this morning. Thought it was pretty sound advice...
Of course, being a girl and all, prostitution doesn't seem like that wise an investment for me...guess I'll just buy that much more beer.As you may have heard the Bush Administration said each one of us would now get a nice rebate. If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China. If we spend it on gasoline it will all go to the Arabs, and neither will help the American economy.
We need to keep that money here in America, so the only way to keep that money here at home is to buy beer or spend it on prostitution, since those are the only businesses still in the U.S.
And I guess I'll die explainin' how the things that they complain about are things they could be changin' hopin' someone's gonna care ~ Kris Kristofferson
I am not a Warrior.
The fight is not my job.
My job is to support the Warrior,
at all times and in all ways,
and - with every free breath I draw -
to be thankful for him.

Actually closer to $42 Million to mail out the announcement letters without the checks in them.Flesh Thorn wrote:It is going to cost something like $24 million just to send out letters informing us that the checks are coming.
The rebate checks may or may not be a good idea and may or may not stimulate the economy, but I fail to see the point of spending $millions sending out announcement letters. This is a really stupid idea.
