He was a Yankee too. Dang, if you're going to quote someone from that war, at least find one who didn't get his ass kicked and surrender before the first year was over. I guess next you can put up as role models the men who gave up at Goliad and were executed, instead of fighting it out like those over in San Antonio de Bexar (look that one up), or maybe the mighty French army manning the Maginot line around spring of 1940.
