This Friday the 300 opens. I was watching the trailers and saw that Gerard Butler was the top star. He played the Opera Ghost/Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, one of my favorites. I'll be there watching the noon showing.

Hardcore mothers!!
I can't remember being this jazzed about an upcoming flick, outside of one starring someone with the name Lynn.
Im taking my son Sat. to see it.
I saw that program on the History Channel too. Those Spartans were some bad muthas!!!! I mean, wow. At the age of 18, the earliest we can ship out youngsters out to attend basic training, the Spartans inducted them into the Army. Tough! Tough! Tough! Very impressive.
I was really interested to learn of the naval battle that took place in support of the ground troops too, I never heard that before. In fact, I'd forgotten all about Lionidus and the Spartans till this movie came out. I gotta hit the library.
While it is a novel, Gates of Fire is without a doubt the best book I've ever read on the Spartans and Thermopylae (sp?)
