Well, I don't know if anyone can see the pic of the strange-ass creature I posted, but there are three wierd-fucking-humanoid things that are in the trailer. What the fuck are they? I'v reached my image upload limit and have forgotten how to remove pics so I can post the others, anyone wanna help?

Based on Frank Miller's graphic novel (expensive comic book), also titled "300".

Well, if that's the case then the creatures make sense. They could be human, just severely deformed, I guess. I'm still going to go see it.

That dude will spin and twist the story in to what he wants it to be without any respect to history. I've ranted about this before:

That's Ephialtes. In Frank Miller's 300, he's a well-built hunchback, as well as a filthy fucking traitor.

As far as the fatty with the blades stuck on hands goes, I don't know. He doesn't appear in the comic. Hollywood just made him up. Nothing else I saw in the trailer looked weird.

For those of you concerned that because it's based on a comic, it's going to be some goofy, fucked up mockery of history, you shouldn't be concerned. You should be concerned because it's a Hollywood film. However, it does look like they're doing a pretty good job of sticking to Frank Miller's vision of the Battle of Thermopylae. The comic itself stays fairly well grounded in history, with the exception of who Ephialtes was.

Well the ministry of what ever... viewed the movie and was quoted as saying something to this effect...

"At least they don't tarnish the Spartan image and way of life like they did to Alexander..."

Although its fantasy based on a real event the attitude is what Sparta was like. Hollywood killed Alexander, that wasn't even historically correct. Then what they did to Troy was a joke... Achilles was already dead when the Trojan horse went into troy...

So this movie should be good.
