I served with then Col. Max Thurman when he was Div Arty CO of the 82nd Abn. He lead from the front and was a great man to work for.

Went through Ranger School when Col. Bowers was the Commandant and or Director. Correct on his cue ball head. His preceding gent, Grange had a son who ended up as a Company Commander in 1st Batt and later attained a star. Both were good guys I thought.

And, welcome. Always proud to have older fuckers than I am. :wink:
