Ranger Jim -

Was on of the original Echo LRP 1's. With Maj (later Col) Dandridge "Mad Mike" Malone and 1SG Frank A. Moore. Had a pet Monkey "Bo" at Plei Djerenj and a traveling pet Baboon "Frank" (named after 1SG).

LT Calvin Green (5th Gp SF) came over as my first platoon leader. (KIA 12/67). Lot of good ops and snatch and grabs until 12/68 - working for SMT Airlines on the Northern runway and ended up in wrong place at wrong time - woke up in hosp in Japan - medically retired in 5/69.

Such is life - the only thing wrong with getting Old is - GETTING OLD.
