Hello RANGERS and DEPS

My name is Brad I have been reading from this forum for several days and decided to join there is a wealth of info just in the forum alone and it was able to anwser my questions. A little background on my self I am a DEP I leave june 8th 2004 my MOS is 11x, I didn't get Airborne or RIP my day at MEPS big screw up with my paper work. By the time they sorted it out the doc had gone home and I couldn't be cleard for Airbone but my recruiter is trying to at least get me Airborne before I ship. I joined the Army because of my father who was in the Army he was in the 7th Special Forces group. Well anyway great site I am glad to be able to post on it.

you guys that are DEP's should be having your friend talk to a recruiter as well as doing the task list. if your friend decides to enlist and scores above a 50 on the ASVAB, that's another promotion for you.

quickest way to PFC...

Welcome, and I'm currently working on it. The recruiters don't let the DEPs at my station to the PT test until a month earliest before they leave. A friend of mine is going up to meps on tuesday and signing up, not 11x option 40 though, he wants to be a mechanic or something.

Geting someone to join is easier said than done, everyone I refer can't pass the test. One guy I refered passed with a 71AFQT and couldn't meet the height and weight requirment. Around here you can do the PT test whenever you want you do it with your recruiter. I scord a 246 on mine not bad I guess. So what do you DEPs do at your DEP functions? we do drill, land nav, pt and learn rank structure.

Brad,

We never did hardly anything for DEP functions and we don't have them regularly. The only good one we had was just recently where we met the new recruiting commander and took an APFT. I think its going to change now as far as DEP functions because our new commander was in 2nd Batt. for several years. His name is Capt. Hardy, don't remember his first name. He is pretty cool though, he noticed me taking the APFT since I scored the highest, by far, (298) and he talked to me a while.

Ray:

Find out his first name, the company he served in, and the time he served there, from what year to what?

Thanks.
