25 years old. Was going to go to USAFA but turned down to play Football in Hawai'i. I always intended on joining the military. Now I am getting out of college and I want to do my part.

As far as "speed" I was implying that I need to get back into running shape. A 6+ minute mile is easy, but stretch that over 4, 6, 10 miles and I can't keep that pace. My goal is 5 mile run in 35 min or less every time. Like I said if you look at me you'd think "fullback." Heavy packs and long hauls are "ok" in my book though, that comes from backpacking w/ guys who have no concept of traveling light and I end up carrying all their gear when they can't deal w/ it anymore.

------

Real beer is red. Killians is by far the best brew on the planet with the possible exception of Chimay. Newcastle, Drop Top, Fat Tire, Sierra Nevada, Full Sail, Mac and Jacks and other "real beer" is good. Black and tans are good when you are sloshed w/ your buddies.

So to answer the question, no, you haven't served a fucking day, but you think you fucking know it all.

You have NO IDEA what a "heavy pack" or a "long haul" is-civy life NEVER compares, as you can ALWAYS stop whenever you want.

6+ mile is easy?

Dude, you are one stupid, cocky son of a bitch-no wonder you want to be an O.

Change your fucking avatar and your attitude, and read or rules or your stay won't be long.

With all that said, I don't think you will see me disagreeing with people much (esp the grey beards) unless they are obviously wrong.

Vegas,
You sound like a fucking idiot. Lose that goddamned avatar.....before you get a really gay one put on there. You are not in the Army yet....nor the National Guard....so you really need to shut the fuck up and read before you get your ass stomped into the ground here and banned.

You may learn a lot that would help you be the best little national guard officer that you can be....but you have a lot of work ahead of you.

#1. Don't watch any movies in the hopes that you will find some type of leadership secrets out of them.....I.E., that Gay ass Conan shit you pulled out........Guess what DICKLIPS......Arnold didn't write that.....hell, Arnold didn't even think that............It was most likely a little 143 lb. Hollywood writer with glasses like cokebottles, and a bad case of acne. Cause the guy makes a catchy line....doesn't mean he knows shit about leading men.

#2. Don't kiss ass......it only makes you look like a bitch. You don't know a single one of us. Don't kiss ass....just follow the rules of the site.

#3. Why don't you become an enlisted man before you do that faggotty officer shit? The best officers that I knew in the Army were mustangs.....they seem to really grasp how to lead men because they have been on both sides of the fence. People naturally trust people that they can associate with.......if someone was enlisted before they commissioned, the boys will trust the shit out of him.....making his job a hell of a lot easier.

Get your act together before you get your retarded ass slammed.
I was in 2/75 from 97 to 00. 5-99

I am a cherry, my bad for any fuckups I might have made.

Ranger Dublo,

#1 That was dumb.

#2 Noted

#3 I am going to have to agree to disagree with you on that one. I think that you have great officers arise from the NCO ranks as well as from the academies and ROTC/OCS. General Tommy Franks is an excellent example of an enlisted man getting his commission, while Gen Peter Schoomaker, hailed from ROTC. I respect your opinion, but I think it is false.

I don't think anyone gives a rat's ass about your opinions new guy.

This ain't your normal touchy feely communication website. We come here to converse and share with our Ranger Brothers and play with asshats like you.

You'll be a source of entertainment for awhile then you'll either start understanding this board or you'll go away. If you plan on becoming an officer, you'd better understand this. The men you're talking to right now are the type of men you'll be placed in charge of. They can make your life miserable or make you look like a hero. Your choice. And always understand this too, being in charge of men doesn't mean you can tell them to do anything and they'll do it. You should feel honored to be able to pass down the orders to those men and learn from those men.

Positive attitudes are good but stupid is stupid. You don't have enough rank or respect on this board to disagree with anyone or anything. We really don't care what you think at this place in time.
