Rangers,
Still waiting on the waiver information, but I took my ASVAB today and scored a 91 overall. Waiting on one last piece of paperwork and everything on my end will be complete. Thanks for everything again.

Re: Introduction-Alek
Sounds like a solid score. Do you know what your GT score was? That is how most of us can recognize it - the overall score they give you (assuming that is what that is) isn't that helpful.PracticeAllstar wrote: ↑August 27th, 2019, 1:07 pm Rangers,

He said I qualified for every job in the military, but I did not see my line scores, no.

Re: Introduction-Alek
I sent you a message reply, but find your job. Pick it. Pick the one you want and stick with it with the options you can get. It is your career at this point. The Army will put you into shit burning, if that was a job (some deployments a long time ago it was... for all of us). It doesn't care. So pick well and stick to it.PracticeAllstar wrote: ↑September 2nd, 2019, 2:20 pmRanger Disinfertention,Disinfertention wrote: ↑September 1st, 2019, 7:42 pmSounds like a solid score. Re: Introduction-Alek
You qualified for everything except probably nuclear engineer or something silly like that (mostly sarcastic but I think that is a real job in the Navy). Definitely make MEPs and your recruiter work for you.

Rangers,
I just spoke to my recruiter and MEPs has requested additional medical paperwork pertaining to my waiver. I am taking this as good news because I was not outright disqualified.

Re: Introduction-Alek
Rangers,
I know it has been quite some time. I was waiting for months to hear back from the Surgeon General, who ended up denying my waiver around Christmas. However I decided to not accept that and scheduled a meeting with my Congressman who said he would have his office reach out to a contact at the Pentagon, which was in February. May 15 I finally heard back and the answer was still no. They seem to think even with my surgeon saying I am fine that it is to high a risk. My last ditch effort is going to be reaching out to the Service Medical Waiver Review Authority and begging them to change the outcome. I do not think it will work and I must start accepting that I will never be a Ranger. I have decided to start the process to take NYPD, LAPD, Austin PD, and LVPD police exams with an end goal of SWAT. I want to thank you all for the help and encouraging words especially Ranger Disinfertention.
To all my fellow wanna-bes if you are physically able to join and try out, coming from someone who will never be able to fulfill my lifelong dream, do it and do not quit. I would give my testicles for just a shot at RASP so do not waste the privilege you have been given and crush it! Good luck and NEVER QUIT.
