As a Mentee member you need to check those forums and follow the instructions. Only calling you out because you came to the forums a few hours ago.

Nice improvement on your push ups! Also glad to see you added Chin ups to your APFT. Make sure you do them in order: Push ups, Sit ups, 2 mile run, then the chin ups as that is how you will more than likely be tested. Also, it is chin ups and not pull ups for the tested portion. Both are excellent to do but sometimes you got to practice for the test.

Look up some new work outs to do to help improve your numbers. There are tons out there. What are you using now and what do you think you can do to continue to improve?

Roger Ranger Disinfertention, I’ll make sure to do chin ups next APFT.

What I’ve been doing to improve my push-ups is by doing Ranger Silverbacks push-up improvement plan and randomly throughout the day I’ll do 25 push-ups, I try to do atleast 8 sets of 25, some sets with my feet raised and some normal. I’ve been working on form and breathing techniques as well.

I talked to Ranger Sully2490 and he sent me a APFT improvement plan that his team leader gave to him, I plan on doing it to help improve my scores.

Awesome, sounds good. It's been a bit over a week have you tried anything from the new workout yet?

Ranger Disinfertention, I have decided not to do Ranger Sully2490’s APFT improvement plan because me and the other DEP’s have decided to do start doing a 12 week RASP Training Plan on GoArmy.Com together, we started the plan this Monday. The plan is pretty solid but I’ve added a few more run day and I will be doing core exercises everyday, as well as more push-ups and weightlifting on top of the plan.

Here is the link to the RASP plan if anyone is interested.

Rangers, it’s been about a month since I have last posted an update, 50+1 push-ups for being behind.

In that month I have been doing PT five to six times a week, consisting of the 12 week RASP plan, Ranger Affirms workout, CrossFit/Weightlifting and running three to four times a week. I will be taking a PT test on Saturday, 50+1 Sit-ups for being behind on that as well.

I bought a pair of Danner Tactical’s for rucking this summer and got ahold of a military backpack but never consistently went out and rucked because the backpack didn’t have a frame so I felt like I was doing more hard then good, but as of a month ago my friend offered to let me borrow his Alice pack with a metal frame, so I’ve been going out and rucking for the RASP plan.

Me and a lot of the other DEP’s including some that have already shipped have been talking a lot, working out, form checking each other, and giving advice and other insightful information.

I did a land nav class with my recruiter last Tuesday and I definitely need to improve on it because I barely knew what I was doing, looking forward to learning more from Ranger IntelToad’s land nav class.

103 days till I ship, so lots of PT and learning to do.

Noticed a spelling error, 50+1 push-ups for inattention to detail.

Thanks for checking in. Sounds like you are staying on top of the PT, which is probably one of the biggest keys to easier success on early military life. Keep on it, that ship date is closing in fast!

Rangers, thought I’d give an update.

I have 18 days until I ship out, I’m excited to get the ball rolling. I recently graduated highschool and I have received a promotion to PV2 for getting a friend to join.

My PT these last few months have not been what I wanted it to be, I was busy with schoolwork and online classes. I currently have a high fever and have not been able to PT because of it so I am hoping that I’ll be able to PT atleast one more week before I ship.

Always nice to hear from you on here Sota. What are you doing to line up PFC? You should be able to get that since you got the hard part done of having someone else sign 4 years away right? :)

Being able to do PT comes and goes... eating healthy is something you can always do. Not that I'm taking my own advice here, but something to consider at least.
