Introduction - Austin
Well, after being prodded a second time I guess I'll throw my hat in the ring.
Hello, My name is Austin. I'm 21 and I get wet dreams when I think about earning a Ranger tab. It's getting pretty tiresome having to clean up every morning so I'm setting a six-month deadline until I enlist. My dad was a construction worker and my mom a college athlete. I'm 5'10 and weigh 165 wet. Currently searching for a training program.
I'm eager to meet the future with full force.

Re: Introduction - Austin
APFT (15, November 2016)- Push-up: 52
Sit up: 69
2 mile run: 16:15 (16:14.78)
Score: 214/300 (Failed)
Notes: Way better than I thought I was going to score on my first APFT. I was expecting a score in the very low 100's. Running is my worst aspect and I will work on it. I'll post my current training plan below.

Stop. Take a look at CharlieRangerFFV screen name again then look up Charlie Rangers in Vietnam and read everything you can.AJD13 wrote:Thank you for the warm welcome Ranger Jim and Ranger Charlie! Glad to be aboard.
You'll get one pass because I understand that you're here to learn, but you will refer to him or any other Ranger on the site with their actual screen name, not what you assume their name is. Make sense?
Good. Do push ups.

Re: Introduction - Austin
At the beginning of next month, I'm bumping all the 4x10's to 5x10's. The 3x15,5,5 to 4x15,5,5 then the following week 5x15,5,5. After I have everything to set to 5 sets I'm going to bump up the 5x10's to 5x15's and the 5x15,5,5 to 5x25,10,10. From here I'm going to take it slow and add 5lbs a week to my weights. I'm also going to add either a 5x100m or 1x500m swim on my rucking days for a low impact exercise.
I'm going to increase my running by .25 mile every week up to 3 miles. Wednesdays I'm going to work on either interval training to increase my overall speed or an 8 mile distance run. I'll "run" it as an every other week system.
Starting next month most PM sessions are going to be cut, except for the run, for 1-2 hours of martial arts.

This is how it should read. I'm not trying to feed our ego's, it's a teaching point that you don't understand yet, but will within 30 seconds of stepping off the bus at OSUT. Learn all you can now, it will save some pain later.AJD13 wrote:Rangers, I sign my contract tomorrow! Going in for my physical today!
