As far as the camo, the new stuff definitely looks like it would work better from what I remember. Some where here in my attic I have an uniform from my time there. It wasn't the all green one though, it was a mix of colors. It almost looked like the British disrupted pattern, medium.

Re: Tunisian Army
From what I recall, the lizard pattern was extremely effective in the Cap Surrat area. I seem to recall lots of purple and reddish tinted mud and rocks, along with green vegetation and sand. I don't recall the guys we worked with wearing the solid green uniforms of woodland pattern, but they did want to trade us for our woodland uniforms though.

Yeah, what he said. That's the place. (Sorry about butchering the name.) From what I recall, it was on the northern coast, near Bizerte and not too far from Tunis.

Re: Tunisian Army
We cross trained with the Special Forces guys. My platoon was attached to one of their units; and they in turn attached one of their teams or platoons to my company. We spent about 20 days or so there in the area training. This was back in December of 1999. I thought I mentioned all this before, but maybe I didn't. We jumped in on a joint exercise with the Tunisian SF guys. We eventually had a ceremony and feast at the SF Headquarters on the hill overlooking Bizerte for a jump wing exchange among other things.Mootaz21 wrote:Bizerte where Special Forces HQ located so i guess u was with Tunisian Special forces and when was thatfatboy wrote:
