Pfc. Kyle Hockenberry

Post by Dc22x »

Hello Rangers,

I apologize if I posted this in the wrong section I wasn't sure what section would be appropriate. This soldier came from the same recruiting office as me and is a really great person. He lost both his legs and his left arm in a IED attack in Afghanistan. The community is getting together with Gary Sinise to put on a benefit concert and a 5k run to raise enough money to build him a smart home. I will be attending both events. If you would like to donate or find out any more information check the links below.

Thank You Rangers,
Damien

Ranger Jim,

The charity event took place right before I shipped to OSUT and I haven't been home since. However I do know that they did successfully raise enough money to build the home. The story about the completed home can be found here

Really honored to come from a community that did everything they could to raise the necessary funds.
