Petraeus Resignes as CIA Director

Post by Flesh Thorn »

CIA Director David Petraeus resigned Friday after admitting to an extramarital affair -- an affair with his biographer that was revealed over the course of an FBI investigation, Fox News has learned.
The FBI had been investigating an unrelated and much broader case before stumbling on the affair. Fox News has learned that during the course of this investigation, the name of journalist and Petraeus biographer Paula Broadwell came up. The FBI followed that lead and in doing so, uncovered his affair with her. The FBI for some time was concerned that perhaps Petraeus was some sort of victim, but there has been no evidence discovered to back up such concerns.

Couple things to consider here:

He was in charge of the CIA, do we not think he of all people, couldn't 'cover' an affair??

He was supposed to testify as to the timeline of the Bengazi tragedy later this week, and now, from what I'm hearing on the radio, that he is no longer in charge, he's already been told that his testimony is no longer needed.

Why would he need to resign "immediately/right now/asap and go public with this instead of trying to keep it quiet or personal between him and his family?

What man, especially in his position of power, would ever admit on his own that he was having an affair, unless he is either A, being blackmailed by higher, or B, he has his own plan as far as this testimony?

Hillary was also supposed to testify later this week on Bengazi, convienently she will be out of the country on that day.

Coincedence all around, or wtf is really going on? If I were the General, I'd pass on any assistance with travel from 'our' government an fly commercial, and don't take any walks in the park alone. Ala; Clinton era murders.

Exactly. This Admiral being relieved the same night as the Bengazi attack, the very same night that General Hamm was allegedly taken into custody and relieved of his command by his Second in Command. I'd have to guess because they both said "F.U., we're going to get our men."

This ain't over by a long shot. There will be more gov sanctioned murder to try and cover this up or whatever end game Barry has in play with his Muslim Brotherhood friends.

Revolution2.0 is almost assured in our near future.

I posted about this in a different thread, but I'll add my thoughts here, now that I've calmed down and can type straight. Reports are circulating that the ambassador was a CIA operative running guns to Syria to assist the rebel uprising, which, by the way includes members of Al Quaeda who are also fighting in Afghanistan.

Petraeus' wife works for Obama. I'm pretty sure the is not about and affair, whether he had one or not.

Just watched Dianne Feinstein on FOX. Either she is not "all in". Or she thinks this not going to end well and is trying to figure out how to save her own butt.
