RIP Rangers...and to those of you who survived....thank you. Men like you solidified my desire to serve. I was in my junior year of high school when this happened.

A very wise PLDC instructor if mine once said, "Look around you. Those who scream and yell 'IF YOU DON'T DO THIS IN COMBAT YOU WILL DIE' have never been there. Those who have been say nothing. They will quietly, but firmly, show you what must be done in hopes you never have to learn as they did."

It has always struck me that those who participated in Operation Gothic Serpent were that way to a man.. every last one!

I saw Matt Eversman on 25 September. He spoke to the Beltway Rangers. What a great Ranger!
