Two specific questions at the moment for anyone that has graduated recently.
Did you see any problems with bringing Fox River socks to RS?
Some of my buddies are bringing non-issue boots to RS. Would this be an issue as long as they are approved footwear?
Thanks,

Young maan, the search feature, locatred at the top right part of this page is your friend. I found more than 300 packing list entries.

Re: Packing List
Roger, Ranger Jim. I recognize now the boot question had been answered several times. I should have been more diligent.
On the other question, I have not found any specific references to whether or not Fox River socks would be allowed. The cadre I have been training with used them when they went through five years ago, which is how I found out about Fox River.

I wore Fox Rivers when I went through, a little over 4 years ago.

Unless YOU KNOW from the horses mouth, you're rolling the dice. RTB is pretty specific. That's one way to get a pink slip right off the bat by not having what's required or having something not authorized.
The list specifies by name, type and specifics regarding foot wear. They even include pictures for those grammatically challenged.

Re: Packing List
I went through last summer. I wore fox rivers, but I also brought the prescribed number of issue socks in case they threw out my fox rivers. Cadre never said anything about the fox rivers, or my extra socks. Can't speak for the current packing list though. If you go to RTAC, the cadre will take any questions about the packing list directly to 4th RTB, and let you know before you complete the course, giving you time to square you gear away on your 36 hour pass.
