Intro - wks5

Greetings! My son just started with A company, 2/75, after being recruited from OSUT at Ft. Benning. My military experience, on the other hand, is non-existent. I'm just trying to be able to understand what he's talking about (as much as any parent can understand the younger generation.) Maybe get a question or two answered along the way.

Welcome to ArmyRanger.com and thanks for raising a warrior. Might suggest your son join us here too. There are other parents on the site and I am sure some will be along shortly.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! Ranger Ron, I have suggested to my son that he join, but at the moment he seems to be too caught up in bonding with his unit to have time for any online stuff, unless he sees that guys around him are here, too. (Then again, why would he want to join any group that accepts his dad as a member?)

We'll see what happens. He's been there all of two weeks, so he's still settling in.

Wks5, the fact that your son was recruited and he completed training speaks well of him. Don't worry if you have not heard from him. He is trying to find his place in his fire team and squad. You have raised a fine young man. If you aren't proud; you should be. Eventually, he may come here. Most of us are has been -- as opposed to never was.
