Keep moving forward one day at a time. Appears you and my son are still there. I'll be coming down for the Graduation ceremony if you both make it through. Always challenge yourself and continue to learn. Strive to exceed not just meet the standards. You can never be too ready for what the future holds. Great effort and dedication so far.

The way I became a Ranger and have earned the small amount of success I have had in life has been mostly due to one quality - determination. Lefty.

Congrats Ranger! Like I told you on the phone, You earned it yourself and with the help of your Ranger buddies on your immediate right and left. The men that have what it takes to join our brotherhood will do it with or without a mentor because they have the discipline to train, the guts to try and the will to finish.

Now the real work starts. You stand in the shadow of bonafide war heroes, you owe them your very best every minute of everyday that you bear that scroll on you shoulder. Without them leading the way you wouldn't be where you are. Without you giving your all everyday the men that come after you can't and won't be as good as they can be. Even as the newest AB or rifleman you are one of the Army's best and you have responsibility to be the best that you can for yourself and for the other Rangers that are depending on you to hump your weight, scan your sector and hit what you're aiming at.

On a side note, PT everyday, study, practice, dry fire, tie down your sensitive items, stay out of titty bars, stay away from stupid people, don't get married, save your money and don't buy stupid shit.

Job well done Ranger! We're all proud of you and proud to call you our brother!

Now then....TAB CHECK!....start knocking em out cherry!

Roger that Ranger Smith, I will update when I arrive. We've been waiting for orders to in-process to our respective battalions. Knocking them out as we speak. Gonna pick up sealfit again for the time being. I hear this new Audie Murphy gym is the shit. By the way, I was the first class to go through in the CSM Neal Gentry barracks.
