Welcome young Sergeant.
If you're planning on becoming a Ranger, the most important thing you can learn is ATTENTION TO DETAIL! I moved your Intro from the "Deps, other civilians" area to the "Rangers, VETERANS, etc" area since you are one.....Veteran that is. :D

Re: Introduction- Chris
Welcome.
There's plenty of information around the forums here on preparation for both RASP & RS.
Since you are a sergeant, my understanding is that you're going to RS and RASP both before you're assigned to a battalion.
You might be more comfortable waiting for RS but the regiment needs its NCOs to be fully functional. It's all "mind over matter", Regiment doesn't mind sending you & your comfort level doesn't matter.

Neverquit_86,
If you can only do either RASP or RS right now my advice would be to choose RASP. From my experience NCO's who graduated RIP (don't know if it changed since they configured the course into RASP) were sent straight to school upon graduation. However if that is not how it is now if you do graduate you'll go to Batt and if you don't quit and show your leadership that you will make a good Ranger leader you will eventually be sent to School.

Re: Introduction- Chris
Yeah, depending on your MOS. I believe combat arms NCO's will go straight to SURT and RS before arriving at batt., but support MOS's usually will go to batt. first. Either way, take the RASP slot over RS any day!

Outstanding! Learn the regimental version of the Creed inside & outside. Get into the best condition you can.
