I could see maybe contrast-enhancement, tinted contact lenses (think "ski-goggle yellow"), but not any sort of "NODS". Neither optical physics nor device physics work out for something like that. Even if it -could- work, it would have a side effect of making the eyes glow, making the SEALS a target rather than an asset.

I took some friends on a night time walk while camping one time. I knew the trail very well and could navigate it almost from memory. They fell, stumbled and cursed the entire time while I pretended to see every stone, tree root and turn. To this day they are convinced that I can see in the dark. :D
